Whenever an opponent attacks, plays a card, or activates an ability, put a thorn counter onto their Hero. Then deal 3 Physical Damage to their Hero for each thorn counter on it.

Frequently Asked Questions

The ability triggers immediately and does not wait for the triggering effect to resolve before adding the counter and dealing damage.

If the triggering opponent has more than one Hero you choose which one to place the counter on and deal the damage to.

Physical Damage is reduced by armor (→).

Causing Briar to lose her abilities will not remove any existing thorn counters, but it can be used in response to negate a trigger of the ability.

Entangle in Thorns only places a thorn counter on a Hero when they ACTIVATE an ability. Triggered abilities and passive abilities will not cause Entangle in Thorns to add a thorn counter. "Active abilities" are those with a cost followed by a colon (:).
