If you have multiple Heroes in play, only one of them gets the bonus armor (R). You choose which one will receive the effect when Armorsmith comes into play.
The bonus armor (R) will count towards your total for cards like Slag Shot.
Losing the effect will always attempt to take away from your missing armor (R) first.
